The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to go on the height. (Habakkuk 3:19)

WELCOME to Adventist Academy-Iloilo (AAI) official website!

Adventist Academy-Iloilo formerly West Visayan Academy, founded in 1916, is the oldest school in the Philippines. It has existed for almost 104 blessed years to date. It has produced many leaders in the church organization & government as well. Thousands of alumni are scattered all throughout the world.

With the motto, “The School that Upholds Christian Ideals,” AAI believes in Jesus Christ as an exemplar of excellence through whom the lost image of God can be restored. The object of education and redemption is one – “To restore in man the lost image of God.” (EG White). The education we offer to our students is based on the harmonious development of the whole person, the physical, social, mental & spiritual. The latter is the most important aspect of life we develop in our students, preparing them not only for this world but above all for the world to come. AAI also prepares students to cope with the demands of time and helps them develop their full potentials and become prolific citizens in serving others. The Faculty & Staff of AAI is committed to providing Bible-based Adventist Education to all students irrespective of religion & race.

Adventist Academy-Iloilo is blessed with very supportive alumni both local & abroad. Alumni & Friends of West Visayan Academy (AFWVA), an alumni association based in the United States, has been actively supporting the school through the many projects in infrastructure they donated like Boys & Girls Dormitory, Food Factory, and the Student Government Center. Some alumni support the school through scholarship programs, endowment funds for the varied programs of the school, and many more projects such as this website. On behalf of AAI, I would like to thank Mr. Dem Gagatam (class ’84) for making this website possible. Your support is not something we take lightly and is very much appreciated by everyone connected with AAI.

This website predominantly aims to be always connected with its stakeholders such as students, parents, alumni & friends so that collaboration between & among them can be achieved. We assure you that through this website, you will always be in the loop of what’s happening in the school in terms of our programs, activities & accomplishments.
